EdTA Advocacy Committee Application

The Educational Theatre Association (EdTA) is launching a new Advocacy Committee to help strengthen and advance theatre education advocacy across the country.

The committee will learn about current advocacy efforts and campaigns happening nationwide, explore EdTA’s role in supporting these efforts, and share ideas for empowering members to advocate for theatre education in their own communities.

The committee will be led by EdTA Board Director Randy Cohen and consist of up to 10 committee members, as well as EdTA staff representatives. Selected committee members must be active EdTA members and are expected to attend quarterly virtual meetings over a 2-year term.

Applications are due by October 2, 2026.
